Careers at Web Summit
Since starting out in 2009, Web Summit has grown to become “one of the world’s biggest and best conferences” (Inc.). Want to be part of the talented team behind it all?
What is Web Summit?
In the words of Digital Trends, we are “the stunning future of tech conferences”. RTÉ says Web Summit is “a star studded, informative and inspiring event”; Politico, “the Olympics of tech”; Tech.eu, “the most important annual tech event”; and The Guardian, “Glastonbury for geeks”.
Whatever Web Summit is, it wouldn’t be possible without an incredible team of more than 300 employees, including world-class engineers, data scientists, designers, producers, marketers, salespeople, operations experts and more. We’ve disrupted our industry by pairing mind-blowing events with unique software. We started with one: our European event, Web Summit. Now we’re making waves in North America with Collision, in Asia with RISE, in South America with Web Summit Rio and in the Middle East with Web Summit Qatar.
We’ve revolutionised how people come together. And we’re just getting started.

Our core values
Courage
It takes courage to pitch a brand new idea, and even more to own up to your mistakes.
We take pride in being unique, creating opportunities, and in doing what’s right — not what’s easy.
Strive for better
We’re not interested in the status quo. If something can be better, we want to make it better.
That means speaking up when you think something’s not working, and finding ingenious solutions along the way.
Integrity
It’s the backbone of every great organisation. We can only thrive with respect, trust, and honesty as our foundation.
That’s why we try to show compassion and consideration in everything we do.
Fun and community
Building connections is part of the working environment at Web Summit. Whether that’s through collaborating with our talented teams by day, or socialising with your co-workers after hours, we want you to be yourself and be your best.
Collaboration
One of the best parts of working at Web Summit is the constant crossover and collaboration between different teams.
In the same way that no man is an island, no Web Summit team works in isolation.
What our team says
Krisy Neligan, VP of Partner Success
I manage the Startup and Partner Success team. We manage the partner experience from the moment a deal is signed, making sure they reach their objectives.
The exposure to large projects like this was a new opportunity for me – it’s an extremely dynamic role. The journey has given me lots of opportunities, great mentors and plenty of people to learn from. You are given the autonomy to make decisions with your colleagues and there are so many opportunities available here if you put yourself forward.
Wale Lawal, Engineering Manager
I’m part of the tech fulfilment and innovation team. My time here has been great, within two years I have been to all the conferences and visited countries I never thought I would. I don’t think it’s clichéd to say I have enjoyed every minute of it.
If you’re applying or starting at Web Summit I’d say come open-hearted. It is a great place to work, make new friends and upskill, not just in your role, but with different teams in different areas of the event.
Amanda Egan, Global Head of L&D
I joined Web Summit in 2018 with a mission to inspire growth and talent development through blended-learning experiences.
We offer a wide range of learning options, including in-house and virtual courses, online training platform options, department-customised roadmaps, guest speaker masterclasses, a company library, and engagement with top business schools.
I’m proud to work in a really ambitious, fast moving company.
Software developer? Join our engineering team.
Our software helps make Web Summit an amazing experience for thousands of attendees, and it helps other organisations and companies run their events too. Web Summit’s engineering team is at the core of our success.
